These beautiful hairpins are made out of native NZ wood and carved into a Tewhatewha shape. A tewhatewha is a long handled Māori club weapon with an axe like head.
Featuring engraved designs that draw inspiration from the rich tapestry of Māori art forms and practices.
These hairpins may be used by inserting and twisting to hold your hair in place, or pushed into your existing hairstyle as an accessory.
